Looking Beyond What’s Seen
personality ! Antoinette is generally a nice, sweet girl. She likes talking to people and joking around, being sarcastic and flirting, if they’re male. She may be a little shy at first, but she will open up quickly. She’s probably the best person to have as your friend because she will do anything for someone that’s important to her. After so many years of meeting people, she has learned not to trust people so easily, and is very good at reading people and determining who they are by their facial expressions. She always stands up for what she believes in and won’t back down when the people she loves are in danger. She’s a bit of a perfectionist, but she’s a little bit of a procrastinator. She listens well and gives good advice, she’s a rather patient person, until you make her mad.
If you ever get on Tonee’s bad side, you will know it, and everyone else will too. She’s very temperament and has no problem with showing someone that she disagrees with them, through yelling, insults, or physical if it was to get that far. She’s very persuasive and will use any means necessary to get what she wants. She hates being told that she can’t have something because she’s always been spoiled, because she's Daddy's Little Princess. She will throw a tantrum or a hissy fit if she needs to, but she usally just gets it right off the bat. She takes extreme pride in her family and her culture.

Beyond The Looking Glass
family ! father ;; Grégoire de Rochechouart III / mother ;; Marie-Patrice de Rochechouart / brother ;; Grégoire de Rochechouart IV before birth ! The Rochechouart family is the oldest French noble family, apart from the former royal family. Their latest clan head, Grégoire de Rochechouart III was betrothed to Marie-Patrice Marteleaux from birth. At the age of ninety, they were mated and married. From their marriage was first born a son, Grégoire de Rochechouart IV. He was a beautiful child, much loved by all of the clan, and by his mother especially. When Antoinette was born, Marie-Patrice had become much weaker and died just days after the birth, thus beginning the hatred the older brother had for his younger sister. teenage ! [13-18] Tonee grew up in prosperity, receiving anything she wanted. She was raised by the rules of her family, and betrothed at the age of thirteen. The young girl wanted nothing of this, and for days was unresponsive to everything. She would not eat and she would not speak. Eventually, her darling father gave in, and cancelled the betrothment. Her brother, on the other hand, complained that he still had no choice and his younger sister did no need to marry. The brother was jealous that he had been pushed out of his father’s favour since the birth of his sister; a birth that his killed his most loved person in the world. She hated him as much as he loathed her. The sibling rivalry had begun and would continue through Tonee's teen years and would never end. adulthood ! [19-current] Though she hated her brother, Tonee couldn’t help but respect the authority he had over her. He was stronger, more agile, and he was clearly the Alpha. She loved her father dearly, and was devastated when he died shortly after her nineteenth birthday. As custom dictated, her brother took over the role of family head, and only then Tonee feared for her life. Her brother, she realized, could do anything now that the presence of her father no longer restricted him. She knew that now, nothing was stopping him from taking her life. While trying to figure out what to do, she fled from the main Rochechouart castle and went to live in their small Château de Montbrun. She stayed for a year before deciding that she would leave France entirely and go to the United States to be as far from the brother as possible. She flew to the US only a month before her twenty-second birthday, and moved around a little bit before settling on Pyridge, Massachusetts for it’s large number of her kind.

She ran as fast as she could through the castle; she had few hours before her brother would return. After hiding out in Montbrun for a year, Antoinette was back in Rochechouart, just long enough to pack her things and say goo bye to other members of her family, those she would miss. She put all she could in suitcases, and the rest in boxes to be shipped over. She felt like crying when she hugged aunts, uncles, cousins and servants that she had become very close to. This was her family, and she had to leave it all because of one man. It didn’t seem fair, but she wanted to stay alive much longer than 21, almost 22, years.
With a few final whispers of ‘aurevoir’ and reciprocations of ‘bonne chance,’ she let a sole tear fall down her pale cheek as she turned away, leaving her friends, her family, her culture and the life she knew behind. She was going to start anew, get a fresh start in a new place. She didn’t doubt that someone would recognize her name; her family regulated almost all of the vampires in France, Spain and Portugal. She would have to make a story of how she was sick of France or something, but she knew in her heart of hearts that she could never be sick of such a wonderful place. She waved a final goodbye to everything she knew, and stepped into the limousine that would take her to the airport, where she would get on a plane and never look back.
